In my previous article on the importance of relaxation, I explained how the process of Creative Visualization can be used to help induce a completely relaxed state of being. This is, however, certainly not the only thing which Creative Visualization can be used for.

As I previously explained, the art of Creative Visualization can involve a lot more than just visualizing which would, effectively, be utilizing only one of the five senses.  Whilst there is nothing wrong with just using the visual representational system, further efficacy is added by also incorporating the other remaining four senses; hearing, smell, taste and touch.

It

was Albert Einstein who said "Imagination is everything, it is the preview of life's coming attractions" and whilst many people may remain skeptical about it, imagination is actually one of the most powerful tools we have at our disposal. We already know that the human mind is one of the most powerful things we know of in the entire universe, particularly the subconscious.

By utilizing all five of our senses when using Creative Visualization, what we are actually doing is what is referred to in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) as developing a well-formed outcome. That is, we are imagining what it's like to already have our final goal and are using the imagination along with our five senses to experience it directly in the here and now.

In other words, if we want good health then it's good to use the power of the imagination to directly


experience what it's like to already have good health; what it looks like, what it feels like, what it sounds like, etc. Many people would argue that this is just pseudoscience or myth. However, there is plenty of scientific evidence to confirm that this technique is effective.

How does it work?

The scientific answer to this question lies in the field of quantum mechanics, although the theories behind it can also be found in other less scientific fields such as psychology. The famous double slit experiment of quantum science which has been replicated many times over shows that we, as observers, are the true creators of our own reality and that sometimes light acts as a particle, sometimes it acts as a wave depending on how it is being observed. The experiment shows that consciousness collapses the wave-particle function.

This means that whatever you observe and perceive with belief, faith and expectation is what you attract into your life What you are effectively doing when utilizing Creative Visualization is using your five senses to recode your subjective experience; you are recoding your internal representational systems in order to bring about therapeutic change in your life.

Amazingly, this means that you are capable of attracting better health into your life simply by just thinking about it properly.


Try using Creative Visualization to attain good health for the next month or two and you may be surprised how good you find yourself feeling after such a short period of time.

    Nice article. Thoughts are things and take shape in the ethers or the mental plane where they grow and develop into solid forms by our thoughts and energy. It is thus necessary to watch our thoughts at all times.

      It's really emotion which is the key to this, not just thought alone. It would be impossible to monitor your thoughts all the time, seeing as we have 70,000 thoughts each day. It would also make you a bit crazy.
